Reply to this entry and I will give you five prompts. Think of a song that fits each prompt, post the five songs to your journal, and explain your choices. Give prompts to the people who say they want to play.

My prompts:
1. Your favorite TV theme song
2. A song that makes you think of home
3. The song you were obsessed with when you were 15
4. A song you wish you could sing/play
5. Your favorite love song

Your favorite TV theme song
OK, so I had a bit of trouble with this one. I mean, do I go with original themes that are just perfect for the series (like The X-Files), favorite shows with awesome music (like Xena: Warrior Princess), shows with mainstream songs I adore (like House), or what? Then my brain bludgeoned me and I went "of course!"

Gundam Wing has one of the best television theme songs of all time and I am convinced that it IS the best anime theme song of all time.

A song that makes you think of home
It was either this one or another Deep Forest song, Sweet Lullaby (crossing over with the "Where the Hell is Matt?" video of epicness), but While the Earth Sleeps won. This is the short version of the song, but there is a longer version, too.

The song you were obsessed with when you were 15
Oh god. Um. My obsessions when I was fifteen years old were industrial metal/rock. My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, KMFDM, and the entire Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack come immediately to mind. But I think Gravity Kills was the one that I played on repeat the most when I was feeling emo and basically sums up my teen angst pretty well.

(My old cassette tape has the uncensored version of this song, but on my CD it is censored and so is every electronic download I've found. Ugh, failsauce!)

A song you wish you could sing/play
Gah! This is hard! EVERYTHING. OK, it really came down to two, and both are because of emotion. I wish I could sing/play something with that much emotion behind it. Both are beautiful songs, but it's the emotion behind them that I wish I could have/inspire, either with my voice or an instrument or a talent for writing music.

Your favorite love song
Heh. It isn't love without some pain.
