The Dreamer of a Thousand Names for Starlight

Spent the whole day at work yesterday. Paid the fine on the overdue books, but the lab reimbursed me. Have to get cracking if I want to make the WPA submissions deadline. Eek!

Tattoo looks fine. So far so good!

I went to see Signs with Mark and Sha today. Eep! Tense, nerve-wracking movie! And I never knew what was going to happen next. Interesting use of background music, or rather, lack-thereof. Very nifty.

I finished reading Bellwether by Connie Willis. I liked it a lot! Very very interesting. I could identify with the situations in the book since I've worked in both a research lab and for the government. I kept expecting for the action of the book to start happening and I was half way through when I realize that is WAS. But that's good, really! Cool book. I loved the blurbs about fads that began every chapter and all the stuff about the randomness of scientific discovery. Also, the book left me with a silly smile at the end and a desire to read more of this author, always a good sign. So, I recommend this book, go read!

I also read the Charm School trade paperback by Elizabeth Watasin that I picked up at Comic Con. It was very cute. I loved the artwork and the story was fun. Bunny the Good Teen Witch and her girlfriend Dean the Butch Vampire and the beautiful fairy Fairer Than who tries to come between them... Heh. Nice. Want more. *sigh* Next year...

I've been burning anime onto CDs like a mad thing! To those of you who ordered anime, I'll probably be shipping tomorrow. The offer is still open if anyone else wants to take me up on it, and I've even added a few more titles to my collection.

Tonight is Anime Club. I have to get going. Bye!
