Obsessions (Part 1)

I have become obsessed with Chumbawamba, specifically their song "Mary, Mary." I keep playing it over and over again. I can't get it out of my head. It's driving me insane! Pretty soon, I'll find myself in a Catholic Church singing it! Aaaaaargh!

Speaking of music, I've searched the Internet over to find an mp3 of "One More Time" by Daft Punk to no avail. Kinda sucks. I like the song, but not enough to actually BUY it. Heh.

Let's see, the last CD I bought was... Ah, that would be "Operation 4" of the Gundam Wing soundtrack! I got it at the Anime Expo. I considered buying the other Operations at the Comic-Con but... well, by the end of the Convention I was out of money...

Heh.

Anyway, before that it was the "A Crime For All Seasons" album by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and "The Best of Kansas" collection. And before those I bought the "millions...like stars in my hands...daggers in my heart...wage war" album by Single Gun Theory. "...like stars in my hands..." is my absolute favorite album of all time!

Funny thing: I didn't actually get interested in listening to music and buying CDs until recently (about the last two years). Back in high school I was musically-impared (musically-challenged?). When people were talking about the lastest music by the latest bands, I couldn't join in because I didn't listen to music. And now here I am actually buying the stuff! Imagine that.

Anyway, the next album I buy will probably be something by Chumbawamba. Or possibly "Sexplosion!" by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

And I think it's time for me to burn another CD of my favorites for my self.

Crayola

Don't you think it's interesting how we define a lot of colors by arbitrary names given to them by Crayola? Why is Crayola the master authority on the subject? I mean, really! They gave us "yellow green" and "green yellow." Doesn't that automatically disqualify them?

So, if you had to choose ONE Crayola color as your very own (why? don't ask why!), what would it be?

Me? I always liked "cerulean." Yes, I HAVE seen that episode of The X-Files too many times, what's your point? But "cerulean" is such a calm, peaceful color. Sometimes I feel like I should be "unmellow yellow." That color just SCREAMS. Like I sometimes want to.

But I think my favorite is "plum." Just because. And I'll probably change my mind, but who cares? Now I'm going to go play with my crayons...
