alone on a swing

havin' fun, hangin' out (busy weekend)

Wheeeee, I did karaoke last night! I went back to school for the Video Game & Karaoke Night event hosted by the Anime Club. Fun, fun, fun! I want you to pause for a second and imagine the Cloudtrader getting her groove on to "Believe" by Cher, "YMCA" by The Village People, and "Material Girl" by Madonna. And I sang along with other people, too. Heh. Heheheheheheheheheheh.

I watched some of the DDR tournament. Those people are hyper! Whoa! The guy who won scored over eleven hundred perfects. I've never tried DDR. I don't think I could do it, and certainly not against these guys. They were GOOD! I also watched a bit of the Capcom v. Marvel tournament. Spiffy spiffy video game attacks. Brian taught me how to play this cute little game reminiscent of Destruct-O-Match and then we played a game of pool. We both suck at pool, but he sucks more so I won.

Sarah and I had loads of fun with the karaoke. So much in fact that we're going out to a karaoke bar in a few weeks to celebrate my 21st birthday. Sarah, by the way, is a new friend I just met last night. We really clicked. She's cool. I had so much fun. I was giggling all night!

So, anyway, I couldn't sleep in this morning because I had to go back to school for my Upper Division Writing Exam. I think it went well. I had to write an essay on what I like to read and why. Oh, the hardship! (That was sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell.) I wrote an excellent essay and finished in plenty of time.

Later this afternoon I'm going to the Chumash Indian Center for a tour and hike. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Scandinavian Festival. Both are to fulfill my cultural events requirement for my Intercult Coms class. I've kind of left it to the last minute, seeing as how the paper is due next week. Oh well. Whew!

A reflection exposes more reality than the object it echoes.

Wanna see something really quite horrible? Hehehehe, playing Alice warps the mind! Go, enjoy the torture, ponder the nonsense!

Oooohhh, look I did a test-thingee! I got this and I didn't even pick any of the questions about killing people! I wasn't much of an outsider... right? Alseides? Oshunanat? Right!? *sigh* Okay, fine, right... *sulk*

Neil Gaiman quote of the day: Have I seen the Sandman in my sleep? Actually, once, I've been him in my dreams, which was perfectly odd. The eyes feel very weird, and they go back a long way.
