I was 25 minutes late for my Analysis final yesterday. Why? A fucking big-rig was jack-knifed on the freeway. Traffic at an absolute crawl. *groan* My usual thrity minute drive was increased to an hour and a half drive. Fortunately, that final was easy.
Yesterday I also took my Psych Stats final. Hard! Eek! I hope I did well. Then I came home, had dinner, and went to sleep. Seriously, I went to sleep at six o'clock and didn't wake till this morning. Guess I needed it. Today was my Coms final. Was easy. I'm going to my Child Psych class at noon today. I missed the first day of class yesterday. Oh well. After that, I immediately have to brave the freeway again to go to my other
college for a meeting. Gegh, about two and a half hours total I'll be spending on commute time today. That aspect of L.A. sucks. That and the smog. But it rained yesterday, so the weather today is GORGEOUS.
I've got a job for over the summer. An actual paying job. Rah! More icky data entry. Not so rah. Whatever.
I am drowning in witty books. I read Practical Demonkeeping
by Christopher Moore on the recommendation of the guy I dumped earlier this semester. Was fun and postively ripe with witty one-liners. I laughed. Now I'm reading Sex and Murder.Com
by Mark Zubro, which is a mystery novel. The writing style seems un-professional. Dunno, maybe it's just me. There's too much dialogue and it's too expositional (is that a word?) and the characters try too hard for "suavely cool, grittly witty". However, it makes me laugh, and the plot seems interesting so far, so I'll probably finish it. Study for finals instead of reading? Nah!
