Discourse on Nailpolish Philosophy
My fingernails are painted black. It's rather startling. I don't wear nailpolish most of the time, and when I do, it's always really really pale colors that you can barely see. When I'm wearing polish, I'm more aware of my fingers. I don't know how to explain it. I think I move my hands differently, more gracefully maybe? Whatever, something like that. Anyway, when I do wear nailpolish, I just put it on and leave it. In a month or two, when it's all finally chipped away, I might put on more -- but mostly not. Actually, I don't wear makeup much at all. Sometimes black eyeliner, on very rare occasions base powder and lipstick, once every other blue moon some eyeshadow.
It's interesting seeing the black polish on on my nails. Very neat. Very noticeable. Odd. I don't really know, but I like it. I've never worn black nailpolish before. My favorite polish (which I'm afraid to use too much because I've never found it's like since) is a pale pale sparkley blue. Black is something totally else on my fingers. Maybe since I don't wear polish all that much, I'm more aware of the difference now that I am. Smooth smooth fingernails. Fun.
