I have finished reading The Doomsday Book
by Connie Willis. (I'm now reading Passages
.) Talk to me! Did you like how it ended? I wanted just a bit more!
It was definately an enthralling book, but I'm not sure if it's my favorite novel by Willis. I'm still mulling it over, digesting the thing. I'm still quite enamoured of Bellwether
, although I do agree with you about the predictability of the surprise twist ending. I think I like it so much because I work in an environment similar to the main characters. So much of what she describes is just like what I know. So far, To Say Nothing of the Dog
is holding place in my mind as very very good, something I may reread often. It may turn out to by my favorite.
So, what do you think? Current Mood: enthralled
