things to do in SoCal when yer not quite dead yet
Something rather traumatic happened to me last night. Guess it's a good thing I'm studying to be a psychologist so I can self-diagnose. *sigh*
Just a teensy weensy bit more to do on my abstract. Yosh! I WILL (I hope, I hope, I hope) have it done by the deadline of noon on Monday. I will be doing a poster presentation. Which means, basically, that I (along with about fourty other presenters) will have posters covered with pretty graphs of my data hanging somewhere. I get to stand around and answer the questions of anyone and everyone who wanders by and looks at all interested. My paper (it'll be oh, five to seven pages long) will be handed out to anyone who wants a copy. I find this a rather odd way to do things, but who am I to second guess the American Psychological Association?
Tonight was fun fun Anime Club madness. Ahh, I'm sorry Al, but your design wasn't chosen, although it DID make the finalists list. A good number of people really liked it. Anyway, I traded anime with a good number of people. I got titles I'd never heard of, including something that I'm told is hentai. Hmmm, this may be scary, folks, I don't think I'm ready for cartoon porn. *shudders*
I am ALMOST (but not... quite...) finished with my HP/SS challenge story. I just have to finish it (another page or three), type it up, send it to osanna
(*GLOMPSEX!*) for a beta, polish it up, and send it to the list before the deadline in two weeks. Yeah, it'sa goin' good. Actually, this will be the first story in the Harry Potter fandom that I've actually finished! (Actually, now I feel like I'm jinxing it by talking like it's already done.) Current Mood: nervous
