Conducting a therapy session is totally awesome, especially if you do it just right and you get to watch as the client comes to a realization you've helped bring to light about what they really want, how they really feel.

However, transcribing the session afterwards is a total bitch. It takes twice as long as the session itself took. Where's the software that will do it for me, I ask? Oh well, at least I don't actually sound too horrible on tape.

I wish I were a dulcimist...

After many months of not caring, I finally cleaned out my Temporary Internet Files cache and now lots of things work again! My e-mail graphics come up! I can direct-save downloads again! Will wonders never cease? Stupendous.

Trolling through the journals of some friends-of-friends(-of-friends), I found this little gem about why Harry Potter is so very very gay. Heh.

I'm making chocolate chocolate chip cookies for my club tonight. They better appreciat it!

Yesterday, while searching for various books recommended by my Cultural Determinants professor in the university library, I stumbled across a rather interesting book that I'm very glad I picked up. The title is Real Live Nude Girl: Chronicles of Sex-Positive Culture by Carol Queen. It's really great! Using wry humor but also academic language combined with foul language, Ms. Queen uses the book to talk about her life as a lesbian-identified bisexual woman and what she's gone through. The writing is frank and insightful and startling and fun. I'm really enjoying reading this book, especially as so very much of what she talks about feeling I've felt as well.

So, today was the last day of regular classes. I handed in my last paper of the semester. Now I just have to get through finals next week and the semester is over. Yay!

Mum and Mark went to see Cher in concert last night. *sigh* I wish I could have gone! I can't wait for them to tell me about it. I bet they had loads of fun. Someday, I really have to go to a big concert like that just to see what it's all about. The closest I've gotten was the Pink concert in WeHo this last Halloween.
