Yesterday, while searching for various books recommended by my Cultural Determinants professor in the university library, I stumbled across a rather interesting book that I'm very glad I picked up. The title is Real Live Nude Girl: Chronicles of Sex-Positive Culture
by Carol Queen. It's really great! Using wry humor but also academic language combined with foul language, Ms. Queen uses the book to talk about her life as a lesbian-identified bisexual woman and what she's gone through. The writing is frank and insightful and startling and fun. I'm really enjoying reading this book, especially as so very much of what she talks about feeling I've felt as well.

Mum and Mark went to see Cher in concert last night. *sigh* I wish I could have gone! I can't wait for them to tell me about it. I bet they had loads of fun. Someday, I really have to go to a big concert like that just to see what it's all about. The closest I've gotten was the Pink concert in WeHo this last Halloween.
