alone on a swing

Dear Eru...

I am laughing so hard that I can't catch my breath. Oh my. The Gap of Rohan RPG ROCKS!!!

*wipes tears of laughter away*

Well, as for today... cut up some more brains. (Mmm, brains, yummmm. Brrrrrrrrrraaaains! <---sorry, I can't help the zombie jokes. be thankful I'm not making mad scientist jokes.) Went to Anime Club, where I had a rousing conversation with a group of guys about various sports, ranging from soccar (futbol) to cricket to curing, with a dash of hockey and baseball thrown in for spice, and little mention of lacrosse and football and golf and polo. Then we talked cyberpunk novels. Oh, and we watched anime, too. I left when I couldn't take anymore of the live action version of GTO.

I was SOOOOOOOOoooooo busy this week! Completed this HUGE analysis and write-up for me boss, studied for TWO midterms, AND I found the time to initiate a seduction of the Lady Galadriel (heheh, sorry, RPG stuffs).

Right now I'm trying to stay awake for the Battlefields chat, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it -- my yawning is getting pretty severe now that I've stopped laughing.

New Sequential Tart issue out today! Truly is the best comics webzine out there, imho. And its really not just for girls! This month there is an interview with PTerry (although he doesn't really make a good interview subject, surprisingly, he came off kind of unfriendly), a bit on a Shaolin Kung Fu exhibition, a hilarious parody (Ecchi! The Musical!), an article on other cool (children's) fantasy novels besides the Harry Potter books, and a visit to the world of Earth-F where women dominate.

In other comics related news, I've finally received my brochure for Comic-Con International 2003. Rocks! GNeil is Guest of Honor! Want to go, want to go (really really want tossblack to go, too)! Must buy ticket soon. (Also got mailer for Anime Expo. Might go for one day. Oh, and WPA, but that doesn't count, its not a fun convention.)

You know, someday I should do a full review of all of the manga I've read (published and scanlated).

Oh rapture!

I have just spent a couple of hours downloading many many many scanlations. Wonderful wonderful scanlations! Yay, scanlations!

Alichino - Unutterably cool artwork! Think Clover-ish CLAMP, but gothier. The story is okay, but the art!

MPD Psycho - *shudders* Horribly horribly fascinating. Totally freaksome murders, scary main character. Detective comic, the main character being a guy with dissociative identity disorder. He solves crimes AND commits them. Graphic depiction of mutilated corpses. This manga works for me on so many levels. (I don't want to know what that says about me.) I can only take it one volume at a time before my squick-n-shudder factor becomes too high and I have to go wash out my brain with fun things.

W-Juliet - Cute! Drama club students. Boy pretends to be girl, girl looks like boy, cute couple. (Yeah, I'm down with the crossdressing stories.) Romantic comedy. Fun! The cure to the manga above!

Elle to Takara - I'm going to Hell for liking this one. *cringes* Is graphic yaoi shota. Eep! But its also CUTE! So so so cute!

Anne Freaks - Mmm, more murdering going on! Very nice art work, slightly creepy story.
