count your sheep

(no subject)

It's quite a trip running both of my computers at once. My new laptop is JOY, I tell ya, joy-with-a-DVD-burner.

I am a mad DVD and CD-burning fiend! Just finished with the goodies for meallanmouse and now I'm starting on a package for jmtorres. Good trades, both.

I need to stay awake until past midnight tonight so I'm not totally fragged by closing at work tomorrow, but going to sleep at 10 last night and waking up at 6 this morning is working against me.

During my breaks and non-busy moments at work today I studied hiragana. I know A through Ko! I'm so proud! Wow, I'm totally on my way -- only about 4,000 more squiggly lines to learn the meaning of! *bangs head against wall*

I did buy the Berlitz language tapes and book today. I could have just kept it checked out at the library, but I am an essentially lazy person and the library is several miles away... And the tapes are just until I manage to bittorrent the 9 gigs of Japanese language learning audio files I'm grabbing at the moment. Only 1,000 more hours to go! I might have them by the time I leave for Japan! *beams* Speaking of which, I really hope they don't want me to start in December. Airfares in December to Japan are AWFUL! November and January are okay, but December is double the price. Yuck. Well, we'll see.

In other news, I keep looking at this lovely little sleeping doll on eBay and being terribly tempted to bid on her. Terribly terribly tempted.
