T-minus 1 month and counting.
I am home from Vancouver, hurrah!
Not that Vancouver wasn't nice. I didn't get to see much of it (again!), though. The training was ALL DAY LONG and then we had homework and yeah, so very exhausting.
Anyway, there were a few surprises, mostly good. For one thing, I will be working only 30 hours a week instead of 40, and I will still receive the same pay, benefits, and vacation time, so YAY! They moved my placement from Sakai to Juso (basically, from South Osaka to North Osaka, so not that big a deal, although Juso is apparently in the center of the city and is famous for it's strip clubs, heh) because they think I'll be good with children and Juso has more children's classes. I was all O_o' "oooooooookay...?", but whatever. Actually, after seeing how children's classes are taught, I think I'll like them a lot. Play time!
Seeing my Japanese Visa really brings it home that I'll be leaving in only a month. Eep!
My fellow trainees were very cool. I enjoyed hanging out with them and I hope we keep in touch. One of them, Jenny, is going to be practically next door to me (well, a half-hour train ride away in Kobe, but whatever), so I'll have one person I know in Japan, at least.
