Six people called out sick yesterday. And they fired the guy who's job I will be getting, so he was gone, too. So very very very very understaffed. Wow. And yesterday? Was the day that I had to remerchandise my entire department! By myself!
You know, management is looking better. I was sizing up the guy I will be training to replace me today. Heh. He has no idea what he is walking blindly into.
It just occurs to me; I was shanghaied into being a lead and now I am kinda being shanghaied again. ??? Does B&N just promote good people until they can't find their way out again? That seems to have happened to my store manager, anyway. She was studying to be a lawyer and then suddenly she had been working for the company for 20 years and was responsible for lots of stuff.
Possibly, I should be running as fast as I can.
(Oh, and I didn't check LJ for several days so I just skimmed back through about skip=300 Friend's entries. Tell me if I missed anything important. And yes, I do know that the Pope died -- I got the email from corporate to merchandise all the dead pope magazines everywhere.)
